Tallinn Waste Recycling Centre recovers the bottom ash generated in the Iru waste incineration unit.
Depending on the properties of the material, bottom ash is first aged for 2–3 months. Afterwards, the material is transferred to treatment, during which unsuitable waste is separated, and aged bottom ash is fractionated according to the need for recovery.
