1) Studies and geotechnical calculations by IPT Project Management (IPT Projektijuhtimine) in 2001 (January-April)

  1. Determination of the deformation module.
  2. Surface calculations, with recommendations for the exploitation of the landfill.
  3. Determination of the safety factor in the case of a leak of the clay screen.
  4. Determination of the safety factor in the case of a slope collapse and shear breaking.
  5. Stability calculations of foundation structure settlements.
  6. Stability calculations characterising the sliding of surface material.

2) Studies by GOLDER ASSOCIATES GMBH in 2000

     1. Three bore wells were drilled for surveying the groundwater in the northern quarry and in its proximity.

     2. The following laboratory samples were taken and analysed:

    • Groundwater
    • Surface water
    • Soil
    • Sludge
    • Surface gas

     3. Air quality was analysed according to the following parameters:

    • Precipitation
    • Dust
    • Odour
    • Noise

      4. Biological analysis of the surface water was carried out.
